I just wanted to get peoples opinions on the name Elaina. Middle name would most likely be Maribel. I am not crazy about the middle name but that is the name of my hubby's aunt/Godmother who passed away when he was in high school and I understand why it is important for him to use it. However if her children (his cousins) have an issue with us using it the middle name will probably be Isabel. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

    I used to really dislike Elaine and Elaina but they have grown on me.

    Like it but prefer Alaina, I think the soft "a" sound makes it prettier.

    Thanks for your input. I have been thinking about Alaina because every time I say Elaina to other people they always pronounce it with an A and I don't want t be correcting people her whole life, that would get annoying!

    I love Elaina (spelled this way). I also like Elena. I think it sounds nice with both Mirabel and Isabel.

    I'm not really a fan of Elaina...but that's just me. It isn't too bad, but I wouldn't choose it for my child's name. If you really like it though, go for it! :)

    I love all the varients of Helen. It is a big name in my family.

    I prefer Elaina spelled Elena (my niece spells it like this) but that's just me.

    My mother's name is Helen Elaine so she has the same name twice.

    I love Elaina! I am considering it for potential DD#2.

    I have NEVER heard of it "elena" or "alaina" until this website, and I used to teach!
