The name Brogan for a boy, ran across it today and DH really liked it! Thoughts?

    Um.. makes me think of some very country words. lol Britches.. brogans.. lol I don't think it'd make a good name.. it's not my style at all. Sorry.

    I really don't see the appeal. It seems like a weird cross between Logan and Brodie or something.

    I actually like it.  I am into Irish names so it's my style.  It doesn't fit with my last name or I would consider it for a future DS.

    Yes the origin of Brogan is Irish I think it is actually listed under Irish baby names on this site!

    This is one of my most hated names. It sounds like all those douchey sayings like "bro-sef" and "bro-mance". It just brings to mind a frat boy that can't seem to grow up. And it sounds made up, even if it is a real name.

    I know it's a legit Irish name, and I love some of the very Irish names. This - I just can't seem to like. pp's suggestion about it sounding like a smoosh is how it's always sounded to me, and it sounds off (sorry-can't explain it better than that).

    Brogan is okay, I think it sounds harsh for some reason. I don't like the name Brody though either. My DS is Brady, so I love that obviously. Grady was also on our list.
