Where is that good Santa?

A while back there was a thread about Santas, and someone posted a pic of one sitting in a reddish leather chair. Where is that Santa? I can't for the life of me find the thread! (Anyone have a link?) We're thinking we might go do Santa pics this afternoon since we dressed the kiddos up a little for their last Music Together class this semester.

  • I should also have said if you don't know that one, but have a rec, please let us know! We'd prefer MD side, but will be coming from DC and can go pretty much anywhere (kids will be napping in the car, hopefully). Thanks!! :)

  • He doesn't sit in a red leather chair, but I've got to rave about the Santa at Merrifield Garden Center in Merrifield.  They have an entire warehouse dedicated to Santa, and its incredible.  We got there when it started (5pm on a Tues) and he had all kids come up, sang songs, talked about the Christmas Story, and then he had a press conference with all the kids - they asked how he can buy all the toys (contract w/ all major toy manufcaturers), what happens if there is a fire in the chimney (he doesn't go down chimney anymore - NASA made a poly-oxidized magnet key that opens all doors), etc.  It was incredible.  And the decorations in the building were really really neat.

The lines get long, I went as a kid, and we'd sometimes have to wait 2 hours, so bring snacks or dinner to eat in line, and get there early.  I can't say enough amazing things about him.

  • Thanks for the rec, Kel! We'll have to check it out!

BTW, in case anyone else comes in, I found the thread I was thinking of. This is why I should get on on a real computer and not just my phone, lol! the thread
