Places to visit with a toddler...

 I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions of places within Michigan, with a toddler. We are planning to do another cruise within the next year, so I am not looking for anything real expensive or too far away. Does anyone have any fun weekend trip ideas (besides Frankenmuth)? Thx!

If you're looking for winter fun, what about a ski lodge/resort (my family always has fun at Shanty Creek, and some of us ski, some of us don't)?  Grand Rapids has some interesting museums and fun activities too.  In Sandusky, OH there are two great indoor water parks (kalahari, the current largest in America) and Great Wolf Lodge.

Boyne Mountain has Avalanche Bay(indoor waterpark) plus many things to do outside.
