I'm posting this here because I know people will be honest with me! We are team green, but if we have a boy I really want to include the name Robert after my dad. The ONLY name DH likes is William. That would make our child William Robert. Or Billy Bob. Do you immediately think that when you see the name? I didn't, but have told it to a few people who thought it was just terrible. DH might tolerate a few other names, but really has his heart set on William. So of this list, what do you think?
William Robert
Elias Robert
Jack Robert
Connor Robert
William Hutchison (my maiden name, and forget the Robert)
Thanks!!
Re: Boy name - is this awful?
I didn't notice it and when you pointed it out, I laughed. I wouldn't worry about it.

When I hear William Robert for some reason I think Brave Heart... Oh, that was William Wallace... Whatever, that's what came to mind, not Bill Bob.
My hubs name is James Robert and growing up NO ONE ever called or teased him as jim bob... A few years ago we had a neighbor at our condo, same age as hubs and they liked to hang out... One day we were talking, I knew his name was james "jim" but it came out it was also James Robert. And I said, "Great. We got 2 jim bob's!" we laughed. Only time I ever heard "JIM BOB"
All your names are good. I personally think William Hutchison is pretty cool. I thought about using my maiden for LO's middle but it just wasn't that type of name.
I didn't notice it either but I might go with Liam Robert instead.
My cousin is Hayden Robert and we have that one obnoxious aunt that calls him Hay Bob all the freaking time.
