Shutterfly Question

For those who have used Shutterfly, especially for enlargements or canvas prints, how would you rate the quality?

I haven't used them for canvas yet, but I ordered extra engagement photos in 8x10s, 5x7s, and wallets and I liked the quality.... I've got a pretty cute mug with K's pictures on it that is good quality. So far, everything I've gotten from them I've been satisfied with. I have made two photo books from them that were really nice and well made.

I haven't personally used Shutterfly for canvas prints, but my co-worker does and she swears by them. She actually just ordered 3 or 4 canvas prints for her house to decorate her kitchen. She speaks very highly of that service. I have loved everything I ordered from Shutterfly, so I would say they are probably good quality.

I can only comment on the book:  I did one with my wedding pictures and it turned out great...I recently put a couple together of Stella pics...and less than impressed bordering on disappointment.

I've used Shutterfly for prints and books and the last book I did (just got this week) was not as good as I had hoped.  If you are doing enlargements I suggest Nations Photo Lab.  They have different papers and I have done enlargements with the Metallic Paper and LOVE them.  I don't know about their other products but I believe their quality is better than Shutterfly.

I really like the photo mugs we got from Shutterfly but the photo-book we made was not impressed with at all. I had the code for a free book so I guess you get what you pay for. For books I will go to Costco again if I want books because we did wedding books from them and loved them.

Thanks for the replies and opinions. I think I'll do the smaller stuff through them and anything bigger I'll do locally where i can see the quality first hand. Thanks again.
