Am I crazy? I have twin experience. I have experience taking care of multiple children. I am a nurse with wonderful skills at prioritizing care and multitasking. But am I crazy thinking about taking care of three under 2? My son will be 5 months when I start, and he will be there most days. I am going per diem with my RN job so I can be with my son more, but I still need to make money. I am excited for this position, and I feel like I can handle it, but maybe I need a reality check. Lol. My baby is starting to get easier. He is finally going 3 hours between eating, and he is finally napping. He tolerates the Moby wrap. Advice? Opinions? The mother responded to me based on my care.com ad, so she doesn't think it's crazy. I just thought that I would ask some real life moms with two or more under two. Thanks in advance.
Re: Might nanny for twin 18 month olds with my baby along
It's totally possible and you get to go home at the end of the day(I live it)!! lol, What a great way to be with your own son and earn income. I'm sure it will have it's stressful moments, but so does any job. It will also be filled with fun and lots of learning for your LO. Advice: Go in with a joyful heart and try new things every day until you find things that work for you guys. Also, take breathers, lol. When they are all happy, take a few minutes for yourself to breath and plan "adult time" with your DH or your girl friends every few weeks so you dont start talking baby talk. lol.
Good Luck
I take care of 3u2 during the week - my girls (21 months and 2 months) and I do childcare for a friends 9 month old. It's not easy when all three need me at the same time, but it's fun and I love the interaction all three girls are getting when they are together.
