Washington Babies

How many gifts are you getting for you child?

Oh and how old are they?

DS is 3 1/2 and will be getting about 15 pretty small things from us/Santa.

DH has a pretty big family and every family buys for him too so that is a lot more as well.

It just seems a bit excessive but hey I bought the stuff.

  • 1 Santa gift, and 2 others. J also has a birthday on the 18th so she will get one present for that. She's turning 5. The baby is getting 1 Santa gift and 1 under the tree gift. Last year J got TONS of presents and I'm hoping this year is different, only because we don't have room for it all!

  • She is 2 and I don't even want to count. We went a little wild this year. I feel like she needed more toys she can play with other than stuff animals and baby toys she has now.

  • She is getting 2 big things, and about 5 little things from us.  Her grandparents will probably go nuts.  I am already getting rid of stuff to make room.  She is 21 mos.
  • 2 gifts. That's it, he is beyond spoiled between his grandparents and has more toys, clothing, stuff than any kid needs.  He's getting the toy he asked for (from santa) and one other.

  • 27mos...I wanted to be so low-key this year and I still went a little overboard. He's getting a balance bike, a chair, some toy cars, some books, some videos...not too bad but more than I planned. Such good deals this year - need to remember "less is more" and just because I spent less doesn't mean he gets more! :)
  • Holden is almost 3 and has probably 20 gifts... oops...  Nolan and Asher are 2 months and have like 3 things each?  They really dont need much at this stage, but I still feel bad they have so little compared to Holden.  At least they will have no idea =)

This is hard for us, too.  I found a bunch of stuff on clearance back at the beginning of November and then there were some things that he wanted, so we got those, too.  We didn't send tons of $, but he's going to have 12 or 13 things under the tree just from us.

  • 20 months...just three little second-hand gifts (a play kitchen mixer, puzzle and apron). She'll also get a few gifts each from three sets of grandparents, and aunts/uncles...eek.

We were going to buy a wagon, but I think we are going to save that for next year when we aren't traveling and can put it under our own tree.

  • One "big" gift(VTech InnoTab) and two less expensive gifts for our oldest( he's a little over 3.5 yrs).  Three less expensive gifts for our youngest(2 yrs. next month).

My mom and sister usually get them 1 or 2 things each but my MIL goes nuts.  Case in point - my nephews actually stopped opening gifts one Christmas because they were "tired".  It's quite overwhelming.  I'm gathering older toys to donate this weekend...

  • 3 trucks, 3 board games, and Hot Wheels tracks.  We might hold back one of the trucks and I'm thinking of exchanging the bulldozer because he keeps asking for a backhoe.

DH is also building him a bridge to use with his trucks. He can use the crane truck he got last year to lift the pieces and they all fi perfectly in the bed of one he's getting this year.

  • Far too many! I sorted through them all the other day & I think there was something like 30 gifts! I have now taken a few out to put away for his birhday in May as I know between Grandparents, Aunts, Uncle & our close friends he will get super spoilt!

  • She is 8 months, and she is getting 3. One from me, DH and Santa. And jammies on Christmas Eve.

I have no idea how bsc the grandmas will go this year, considering she got more gifts than I did last year and she wasn't even born yet.

  • I bought more than I wanted and I think that some of them will go to toys for tots honestly.  Some of the movies will go to Childrens Hospital because I can see hime getting overwhelmed and board after a few gifts.

I ended up getting 2 presents each and then some small stocking stuffers for this very reason!! MIL goes WAY overboard- like not just spoiling, but spoiling rotten.  We actually opened the presents they sent tonight and it took an hour!  I'm really going to have to do some purging!!
