I want to shout it from the roof tops.

I have lost over 30lbs, and I am SOOOO excited about it. I haven't been this size since before DS1 was born. It feels *great*! However, I have a friend on FB that has always had problems with weight and she made a comment to me when I was pg with DS1 - she said "oh good, now you will finally know what it's like to be fat." and no she wasn't joking. It hurt, but I understand she has a lot of pain because of her weight. So, I haven't posted my success on fb because I don't want to hurt her... is that dumb? Should I post it anyways and just be happy for myself?

  • Great job! How did you do it and how long did it take?

Post it! That was rude of her to say anyway, regardless of the pain she feels around her wait.

  • Post it!  You should be proud of your accomplishment and a real friend would be happy for you.
  • Great job! Totally post it on FB. You deserve to be proud!

  • I think when you post you can exclude certain people from seeing it, but, imo, the damage done if she found out you excluded her from seeing your weight loss news would be worse than just posting the update to everyone and letting her read it.

ETA: Congrats!  I think it's a great accomplishment and one you should shout from the rooftops!

  • Thanks guys! I think I will post it and just hope she doesn't get hurt by it. She not a real or good friend, but I still feel bad if I make someone else feel bad...
