Baby Names

Confessions anyone?

Whenever I see a baby with a kre8v name, I assume it was the mother's choice. I'm sorry, but I just can't see a guy feeling like 'i' or 'e' should be replaced with 'y' or needing to find a uneek way to spell a simple, common name.

Me too.  I also assume that they are uneducated.  Awful, I know - but true!

  • This isn't name related, but I am seriously considering buying a little girl coat.  It is purple, plaid, woolen, and on sale.  I'm normally worried about jinxing myself, so I may be crossing into crazy land. Embarrassed

  • My confession: it annoys me when people have a middle name picked out, and they post asking for first name options to go with that mn. I feel like this is a backwards way to name a child. I'm all for wanting to honor someone in the mn spot, but your naming job would be easier if you made a list of names you liked, and then figured out which one of those works best with the mn.

OMG yes. This drives me nuts.

I also hate the posts that go along the lines of: "We are having a girl! We considered Emily but decided against it. What names would you suggest??"

Um, buy a baby name book, or give us more guidance.
