New Job (Hurray!) and Question

After being unemployed for the last 4-5 months, I got the call yesterday that job I've been interviewing for want to offer me a position!  Hurray! (And they already know I'm pregnant!!)

I can't believe they are wanting to hire me as it is an active position, but I'm thrilled nonetheless!  Also, apparently if I can prove myself in the buying portion, when I get bigger, I can sort of shift that way!

On to the question though - In getting ready for this, I've been doing a lot of stuff around the house and with the dogs... My whole tummy has been somewhat achy for a few days now. Side to side, top to bottom... I've been passing it off as organs reorganizing (I've popped and it's fairly obvious in the last two weeks) but the fact that it hasn't got completely away, should I call the doctor or just let it go unless it gets worse?

Sorry for the long post - thank you in advance for any advice!

  • Congrats on the new job!!!!! On you question, I guess it depends on how bad it hurts. If it is really bad then call. If it is just a little sore drink some water & rest.

  • Congrats on the job!! The pain could be RLP. I know that after a really active day of running errands it's much worse than just the tiny pinches I normally feel. I just take it easy the day after as much as I can and drink lots of water.

  • Congrats to you that sounds soo exciting!!  Best of luck in your new job =)

I'm going to say those aches - as much as they suck - are probably growing pains. You are probably fine. I had the nastiest pains one night and I swore I was miscarrying.  I called the doc and he assured me that I was fine as long as there wasn't any blood.  Saw them a few days later and they were kicking and happy (i assume they are happy haha).

Of course - don't ever hesitate to call if something feels off.  Even if you feel silly its better to be reassured.

  • Thank you ladies, I'm feeling better about the situation!  (I assumed I was fine but had some crazy dreams last night that got me second guessing myself)

  • Hurray, hurray for you--congratulations!  I just got hired a few weeks ago myself; such a relief to find work!  Ditto PP who said if it's painful, call; you never know what the docs might say and/or whether they may want to check you out.  Better safe than sorry, right?  May just be some ligaments stretching but it can't hurt to be evaluated.  GL on the new position!
