Indoor Playtime Suggestions

I think it is time to cut out the am nap...Crying

We live in Wisconsin so outdoor play is pretty much out.  Anyone have any suggestions for energy killers for indoor?   We can only read so many books and do so many puzzles!

I feel like a terrible mom because I can't think of things to do with them all day.

Re: Indoor Playtime Suggestions

  • We have a ball pit from target. It's basically a blow up pool and we've bought a couple big bags of balls that we put in there. They love kind of splashing around in there. We also have a tunnel that sort of pops up and they enjoy that. I also think those parachutes are great too. Target has them as well...smaller ones you can play around with.
  • Totally recommend a ball pit.
  • Loading the player...
  • What about a morning outing?  Library story time?  Our local rec center offers open gym for kids under five.  You could also hit a mall indoor playcenter as well.

Also, don't discount outdoor play.  My girls are older, but they love to play outside.  Even just a little fresh air tires them out.  Put on the snowsuit and let them have at it.

Ditto! I live in a really cold place but as long as it isn't literally 0 degrees you see lots of kids playing outside. Just use many warm layers (which as a bonus takes time up putting on :)
  • Take the cushions off the couch and make a fort or a playground on the floor.
