Florence? It was my great grandmother's name, and she was very special to me. That said, I wouldn't want to saddle potential DD#2 with a name that sounds too dated. Grandma's nickname was Flossie.DD#1 is Evangeline, nn Evie.

I would use Flo as a nn though.
What's interesting is currently in the USA it's not even in the top 1000 but in Europe it's in the top 20!

Florence seems a little dated to me, but it may just not be my style. Since it isn't prominent in the US that may be why I feel that way.
However, I do think it goes nicely with DD#1. It isn't like you'd have one trendy name with an older name. I really like the nn Flora. Flossie sounds funny to me, but I've never heard it before. I also like the sentimental value of the name for you. It would also be a great middle name if you end up going with a different first name.
