Newbie!!! excited to TTC

Hey everyone!

I'm Theresa. I just got married in September and now my husband and I are going to try to start our own little family. 

A little background. I went on birth control when I was 17. Before the birth control my periods were VERY irregular, would get it one month skip 3 have it again skip 6 months have a few each month etc. Kind of did whatever it felt like doing. Also they were pretty heavy.

Just went off birth control in November and I ACTUALLY just got my period today for December! Was shocked didn't think it would kick in gear after the craziness I had before the birth control.

I am looking for advice on how to figure out when I ovulate what days are my fertile days etc. Also is there a list of all the abbreviations on here? So I dont feel so lost reading posts. Thanks for all of the advice and encouragement/support in advance!!!

Welcome! You came to the right place. Definitely get started on this board, I wish I would have had that advice in the beginning before I just hoped on TTC and posted without feeling educated. Once you feel you have the basics and lingo try it out, but TTC for newbies is definitely more of a lurking board. Good luck to you, and congrats on your new journey!
