I don't think I will ever love a girl name that I can agree on with my s/o. In fact, I didn't think I could even find one that I love. Last night, I decided I really loved the name Anja for a little girl, but the s/o shot it down quicker than it came out of my mouth. I feel as though if the LO is a girl I will have to settle on a name that I don't love. This has really gotten me down! I'm sort of hoping that in 6 weeks at our u/s we will find out it's a boy, so I wont have to think about this any longer. argh!
Re: I don't like any girls names!
What kind of names does your H like?
I love Anja. Why would you have to be the one to settle? Maybe he'll come around on a name you like if you do end up having a girl. I wouldn't stress too much about it until you know for sure.
TTC 10/11. IUI 2/12. BFP 3/8/12. 4/26/12 missed mc. RE consult 5/17/12. IVF #1 ER 7/13/12 53R, 41M ICSIed, 32F, 8 5d, 6 6d blasts - all PGD/frozen. PGD results 1 normal M and 1 normal F, 1 maybe M. FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!! My son was born on 7/24/13!
Just an idea, but since Anja was originally a pet-name for Anastasia, maybe you could name her Anastasia and call her Anja?
Well, I think we'll both have to settle for a name that we both like but neither of us love. He really wants Julia for his adopted mom. I wish I liked it, but I hate hate hate Julia. We threw around the idea of Aubrey, but all of a sudden I can't stand the name Aubrey.
I kind of like the idea of Anastasia, but the s/o is really weird about long first name.
Don't get down about it until you know if it's a boy or girl. If it is a girl, go to nymbler.com and type in 3 names you like and 3 like he likes and see what alternate names pop up. Names are hard! GL!
p.s. we almost went with Aimee. Do you like that name?

Have you considered maybe something like Julianna?
I wasn't aware of nymbler. Thank you!
I think Aimee is cute. I had a horse named Amy a long time back. Coincidentally if the baby is a boy, the baby will share a name with my favorite dog I had. haha Ok, I sound like a weirdo.
I think it's an adorable name. I will swing it by the s/o.
Julianna would be a compromise, but honestly I hate Julie, Julia, Julianna. I don't like Anna either. I know it's strange considering my favorite is Anja.
My DH likes Julia too, and I really don't. Juliette is nice
What about a related name, like Julianne or Juliet?
