I got my Godson a MegaBloks set that is like the small Lego, you can make something like a police car and fire truck or something like that.  It was around $15 I think.  The bricks are the same size as Lego and can be used together.

I got my nephew Perfection (remember that game?) for his birthday.  All the kids LOVE it!  They all enjoyed it so much, I put it on TB's wishlist.
