I recently went to the doctor and realized that I have gained a whopping 22lbs since pre pregnancy. Needless to say, I am not happy about this. How far along are you and how much have you gained thus far?
Between 33-35lbs. I don't remember the exact number. I was on a diet before getting pg so I started out about 7lbs lighter with this pg than my other 2. Oddly enough, I pulled out my journal for #2 and I am only 1lb more than I was at week 33 with her so I think my body just needed that extra weight. It has slowed down now that I am running out of room and don't eat as much anymore.

Don't worry. I had gained about 20 when I was as far along as you and was worried I would put on a ton in the third trimester and had no chances of keeping it to 25-35. But for some reason, I have only gained about 2 lbs since then. I have not changed my eating habits at all. I am shocked to think I may actually get to 40 weeks and keep the weight gain at 25. I gained 31 with my first, but I was underweight then. I started this pregnancy about 10 lbs higher than I normally am.
I've gained 18 pounds so far...which I am pretty proud of since I gained a lot more with my DS and DD. Gained 45 with DS and 35 with DD (but started off 5 pounds heavier that pregnancy). I've really watched my portions and tried to eat a lot healthier and avoid fast food. Hoping to stay in the 25-30 pound range this time.

27 weeks and last I checked 13 lbs, but my midwife would count 11 lbs since the tech forgot to tell me to remove my shoes at my first appointment. I had to quit exercising for most of this pregnancy to even put on weight so I guess I might start back up now that I'm continuing to gain.
At my 27 week checkup, I had gained 22 pounds. I was upset, too, because I only wanted to gain 25 this pregnancy. I read that you put on about 11 more in the third tri, so now my goal is no more than 35 pounds :-(
As of this morning's dr's appt, I've gained a whopping 7lbs at 29wks, lol! But I must say that I'm plus size as well as high risk and through better eating habits, I lost a total of 15lbs in my 1st tri, so I'm still 8lbs under my prepregancy weight.
At 33wks I had gained 20lbs. I am happy with it and my doctor says to keep eating so I just keep eating what I want and am not worrying about it until she says I've gone overboard.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
I honestly don't know and don't care to know. My doctor watches it and will tell me if it's concerning. Otherwise, I focus on eating right and exercising daily. If I do those 2 things, I will gain what I am supposed to gain.

I'm almost 28 weeks and at my appt. last week I had gained 15 pounds. Hoping to keep it less than 30 since I started out a bit overweight pre pregnancy.

Exactly this. I plan to not look at the scale during my appointment tomorrow.
26 pounds. I gained 46 with my first pregnancy and the first twenty something pounds came off right away. The rest was gradual and I ended up being 10 pounds heavier than was pre-baby.
the average weight gain is 25-35 pounds, more if you are underweight for your heigh and build to start with.
35lbs, and I have 2 weeks to go. I gained 65 with my first pregnancy but this time I have GD so my diet is strict. I'm SO swollen and that's a lot of it.
I am 33 weeks and have gained 35 pounds! I think it's all in my belly, though, it's really weird. I can still wear all of the maternity clothes I've been wearing, so I think it's really localized to the belly!
18 lbs at 37 weeks. But I think I already might have put on a couple lbs before my first appt at 8 weeks. Baby's growing anyway... that's what matters!
30 weeks, 30 pounds At this point with my son I was only up maybe 15 - 20, and I started off heavier this time around too. The annoying thing is, I feel like I'm eating a lot healthier this time around
I am so proud of myself!!! I'm just about 33 weeks and have only gained 15lbs! i have to keep reminding myself though that gaining weight is okay. I'm not getting fat, I'm growing a baby. lol
I've gained 19. Since I was very much overweight prior to pregnancy, I was allowed 15-20 pounds. Last OB visit {last Friday} I was removed from bed rest so I can now move around more instead of vegging all day, which will help keep my weight in check. I've been very careful and didn't gain any weight unil 18 weeks. In fact, my first trimester I lost 10 pounds. My OB was find with that...since I had A LOT of extra on there. But, 19 so far. I'm hoping to top out no higher than 25, especially now that I can move around and have been. Walking nightly has giving me more energy, make my back cramps go away, and eased my hip pain.
Thank goodness!
If your OB isn't worried about your weight gain, I wouldn't fret. You're growing a baby, honey!!!
Re: How much have you gained thus far?
Not happy about 22lbs??? Wow sis.
I've gained about 40. I'm 38 weeks. And I thought I was doing pretty good! Hahaha. I have low standards I guess.

With my first I was a pound per week up until about 30 weeks and it was higher. I gained 50 total.
This time I'm up 12lbs at 28 weeks.
