Peanut butter blossoms, pinwheels, spritz, cut-outs, and those peanut butter ones with the peanut butter cups in them. I want to make an Italian pastry that my mom always has made, but I don't know if I'll have time. It's an all-day thing, even for only half a batch! Maybe next year.
I also want to make eggnog cupcakes that I saw on Annie's Eats. Probably will be our dessert for Christmas Eve.
These are my absolute favorite cookies, they actually get softer with the frosting on them like a day later. Yum. I also love the rice krispie wreaths. I'm not really a huge cookie person but those are my top two...and now I would really like some!
I make no bakes every year, those are DH's favorite, and chocolate chip. I'll also do sugar cookie cut outs for Stella to decorate and to leave out for Santa. I don't do much baking...
I will be eating most of what I bake, so I have to limit my choices or buy new pants!
We have choc chip in the oven right now, those are to ship to my brother in Germany. I will do cut outs (batty has a great recipe), peanut butter blossoms, and thumb prints too....and I can't resist a magic bar!

I think the trick is to use a good amount of frosting...or I just like the extra frosting I hope they turn out well for you!

Batty - please share I am always looking for a new cut out recipe
so far I have done thumbprints, peanut butter, shotglass cookies, chocolate chip. I am still going to make peanut butter kisses, almond spritz and probably more of the ones I already made.
So far i've made choc covered oreos, fudge, hershey kiss cookies, today I'm making spritz and 3 layer bars, and cut outs next sunday. I'm not much of a baker, but I don't mind doing it during christmas time, yeah, and I totally eat all I make too!

This is what I had saved from her!
Cut-Out Cookies Cream together: 1 cup softened butter/margarine 1 1/2 cups powdered (confectionary) sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla Add: 2 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cream of tartar 1/4 tsp salt
Divide dough in half and refrigerate until cold. One half at a time, roll out dough on a well floured surface to no less than 1/8" thick. Use more flour as necessary to prevent sticking. Cutout with cookie cutters. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400 for 6-8mins. Cookies should be very light when done. Cool and frost as desired.
Icing: 2 cups powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla Milk-as much as you need to get desired consistency.
**FYI-I baked mine roughly 7mins and I have no idea how thick I make them-I have never measured. I also don't use this icing-my Mom loves it, but I'm not a fan. I use regular white frosting in a can and color it.
I haven't decided yet! I usually always do a butter cookie with toffee bits, peanut butter blossoms, and chocolate malts. I am thinking of adding in a cranberry pistachio, and DH is begging me to make some more Milky Way cookies so I'll do those. I'll also do some Oreo Truffles, a couple pies (probably lemon meringue and maybe chocolate cream this year), and I am hoping to make some crescent rolls for the first time.

What is a Milky Way cookie? I like the sound of this...

Email this recipe to me, please!!!! Gotta try them!
And tell B there will be a batch of peanut butter blossoms just for him and J waiting for when we get together, hehe :-)
I'm only doing pizelles and mini brownie cups with PB cups in them. I ALWAYS do cut outs-they are my fave, but not this year. With moving and being pregnant, I figure I have an excuse...although I do feel guilty not doing them!
