Movement on only one side?

I feel alot of movement, but it is only on my right.  Is this weird? Am i being crazy?

Re: Movement on only one side?

  • I've heard that sometimes babies favor one side more than the other, so maybe yours likes to keep his/her legs on the right side, so you're feeling more movement there.

  • surely not crazy. It's your body....different from everyone elses. Enjoy those movements. I wish I could feel more!

  • I think its normal. This baby heavily favors my right side. I think maybe that is the way her feet are tucked up? But its gotten to the point where I really only can sleep on my left side because if I try to lay on my right side she starts beating me up from the inside. :-)

  • My little guy only moved on the left side (for about a month) when i first started to feel him. But now I feel him on the right side. I guess he is bigger now and has ventured to the other side :) Have you had your 20 wk ultrasound yet? The tech that performs it can always tell you what side the baby is on too, maybe that can solve your mystery. Either way, don't be alarmed- there are tons of women who only feel movement on a certain side at first. Wait until the baby gets bigger, you will def. feel and see him all over!
