anywhere to donate stuffed animals?

I have a bag full of stuffed animals in new/great condition that I would like to donate to a nonprofit group or some place that could use them.  I know I can drop them off at Goodwill or something like that but would rather them go to a charity that could use them more than just reselling them for a dollar or two.

I live in Everett but am willing to drive to anyplace in Snohomish County that could use them.  Any suggestions are welcome!

Re: anywhere to donate stuffed animals?

  • Maybe check for a shelter for women and children or something like that? My SIL lived in a home for single young moms for a while in the Overlake area, and I would guess places like that would love to have toys.

Any fire station or police station - they use them to calm children in crisis situations!  :)

  • I would say check with the fire/police stations as well.

  • Thanks to all who responded.  I actually found a near by elementary school that asks for donations and gives every student a gift for Christmas.  (They are in a low income area with 20+ different languages spoken)  Next time I have a bag full though I will donate them to a police or fire station.
