I got a BFP on Friday, and went in for betas that day. My HCG was only 13.7, which the nurse at my RE's office said was low. Since then, I've taken several tests and gotten more BFPs, but also 2 BFNs. They're still really faint (I'm 14DPO today). I'm going in tomorrow for my second beta, but I've pretty much given up all hope that this is a viable pregnancy. Does anyone have a similar story that ended up with a healthy baby? (Or at least a pregnancy where they've seen a heartbeat; I know a lot of you this is your first baby and first tri.)

Re: Can anyone share low HCG success stories?
Me! My first beta was 9. I'm now eight weeks, and have one baby with a nice strong heartbeat. Just watch for your betas to double, don't sweat the low number. Don't give up hope, you have no reason to yet!!

1) stop peeing on sticks. You'll make yourself crazy
2) my daughter started out with a beta of 14. This came after 2 IVFs and a miscarriage. I was sooo worried. But like the other poster just said, the initial number isn't such a big deal. If it doubles every 2-3 days and continues to rise steadily then all should be well.
It's really difficult to get through this initial period. I've been there. But have faith. and try to keep a positive attitude. Repeat this mantra - I am pregnant and happy unless told otherwise.
Good luck!
I guss I can be considered a success story.... At 13 DPO, I was at a 19. The continued to double nicely for the next week and a half. I am 12 weeks now and still have a growing baby on board. I used to have all of my numbers posted up to 20 DPO, but I deleted them for some reason.
Try not to worry yourself over the numbers. As long as they are doubling, things should be fine.

((BFP 7/29/13)) ((EDD 4/12/14)) It's BOY/GIRL twins!!!
I had a chemical pregnancy in July of 2009, when my levels were tested I was only at a 6. My dr still wanted to retest because, he says he has seen several very low hcg levels continue to be very healthy pregnancies. I conceived again that following month and have a very healthy beautiful 19 month old daughter! And now, expecting number 2! Don't worry yourself, things turn out! And not to be a debbie-downer, but if things don't work out this time, at least you do know that you are able to become pregnant. Best wishes and prayers for this pregnancy!
