Hallmark had the Griswold station wagon w/tree on top of it as a Keepsake ornament this year.  It even plays the "Christmas Vacation" theme song.  Dad's a big fan of the movie, so it was the perfect present for him.

A few necessary things he needs around the house now that he's living independently post-stroke.. and a photo desk calendar of DD and a photo desk organizer with a family pic (both from Shutterfly). He always just asks for photos of the grandkids, so we oblige.

I got mine some gloves that you can use with your iphone and I still need one other thing for him.  I got my stepdad the vol 1 of ESPNs 30 for 30.  He is a big sports guy.

I got mine a scale from Apple that tracks your weight and uploads it to you phone/iPad/Mac automatically and graphs it. It's really cool and right up his alley.

My dad is the hardest person to buy for but I managed to find something that is totally him.  He's into archeology and is even part of the archeology society in San Angelo.  Every year they are part of an archeology fair and in prep for the fair, he makes arrowheads for the kids to discover.  So I bought him a pocket knife with dinosaur bone inlay on the handle.
