What week is the strep B test?

I'll turn 34 weeks in January and am hoping my Dr. lets me put it off til then for insurance purposes.

My hospital does it somewhere 35 to 37 weeks.

I was told at my last appointment that we would be doing it at my appointment on Tuesday.  I will be 35-weeks.

My dr did it at 36 weeks.  They like to hold off until about 4 wks before your due date so it's the most accurate.

36 weeks at my practice. I think for practical purposes, they need to know your status before you're considered full term (=37 weeks) so that they can know to give you antibiotics when you go into labor.

usually it is done at 36 weeks but it may be a week earlier or later.  The results are valid for 4 weeks...

its really not a big deal if you test positive, just means you have to get some antibiotics when you go into labor so it doesn't pass onto your newborn, could be fatal to a new baby, but its not a big deal, don't fret about it
