This is about 1 week after peeing in the extra car seat.
Yeah.. how the hell am I going to get the smell of cat pee out of this thing? I can't afford to buy a new one.. I just bought a new carseat cuz there was NO way to clean the one he peed all over. (thank fully DS was ready for a new one anyways but still)
I want to bawl my eyes out right now. I don't understand why the cat is acting out NOW after alex is now 10 months old? Why he is peeing on baby stuff all of a sudden. I mean this cat usually never does anything wrong, the other cat is the devil always scratching stuff and being naughty. But this is the good cat. I have no idea what in the past month has changed that he's now acting out.
Anyone have anything like this happen that can give me an Idea of how the hell to clean the bottom pad thing? Cuz the pee is already seeped into it.
Re: So that cat just peed in the pack n play...
Soak it with vinegar and then rinse really well after you let it sit a while. The vinegar is GREAT at getting ride of the smell. My cats are terror on the dining room carpet, so I buy my vinegar in bulk... its a lot cheaper than the "enzyme" stuff you get at the pet store and it works great.
Stains can be taken care of with a combination of dish soap and hydrogen peroxide (test somewhere inconspicuous for color!), and you can use baking soda to help neutralize any additional smells.

We have been having problems with our dog peeing on things, mostly our bedding and DH has had to replace his pillow 4x... He start this at or about my 20week mark and it has gotten progressively worse.
The vinegar is a great trick. One of my stupid dogs pissed on my couch cushion and I used a whole gallon of vinegar and mixed some Gain detergent with water and soaked it in that.... left it out in the sun to dry and it was like new
well it smelled like new. My cat also hates DH so she likes to pee on his socks--- always throw some vinegar in the washer with his clothes.
Sounds like you have good suggestions for getting the pee out.
I would suggest you get your cat checked for a UTI. They are pretty common in cats
These are great tips. It worries me that your cat has started this after 10 months, I'm hoping it's a UTI like PPs suggested but good luck and let us know if you find the cause!
nature's miracle is an enzymatic cleaner that will break down the urine/ammonia so the cat won't smell it and possibly go back to the same spot.
This sounds to me like a uti, when they develop a uti it hurts to pee so they look for new spots to try to make it not hurt as they can associate the litter box with the pain. I'd get the kitty to the vet.
