My 34 weeker...

Is 2! I have been meaning to post this for a week!

For those of you still in the NICU or in the beginning stages of being home it gets easier. DD was born at 34 weeks due to severe IUGR. She was 3lbs when born. She was a feeder/grower and stayed in the NICU for 21 days. It was a very unexpected delivery; as I only found out about her being IUGR a week prior.

We struggled a lot with eating once being home from the NICU and still continue to struggle a bit. She is currently receiving feeding therapy through early intervention. Other than feeding she has met all of her milestones in between her actual and adjusted age.

The first year was extremely emotional and I had a lot of "why me" moments but the 2nd year was amazing. I am still amazed by how far she has come from being the fragile 3lber. She is now an opinionated; independent, and spunky little toddler!

Just wanted to give everyone some hope and an update (I mostly lurk and try to post when I can)
