Ultrasound after slow rising betas

So I wanna thank you ladies for your kind words earlier. I called my re back and they could tell I was upset so they had me come right in for an ultrasound. It really didn't show anything - I asked about an ectopic and the doc said although with a transvaginal u/s you really can't tell she saw my tubes and ovaries and nothing was around them which is good. They saw what looked like a sac in my uterus but being that I'm only 5w2d they didn't expect to see much, and they didn't. Just a sac, no yolk sac and nothing else. My betas did rise (from 1100 something to 1800 something) does anyone have any experiences like this? I'm not really very optimistic anymore ... They have me starting on progesterone suppositories tomorrow - because that dropped from 30-40 to 20.4 ... I've been a mess any advice or input or experiences would be so amazing. Thank you ladies in advance.

I don't think it sounds too bad actually!  Your betas ARE going up, you are only 5 weeks and they can see a sac.. that's good stuff:)  And a 20 progesterone level is still a very good level, my doctor said anything above 10-15 is good!

Obviously I have NO experience in this, because this is my first.. but from what I've been told I don't think this sounds horrible?

Good luck & I'll be thinking about you!!

I remember reading somewhere that it's not always your betas doubling but going up at least 65% at a time.....and if that's the case, your numbers definitely went up that amount! FX for you that everything goes fine!

I'm glad it doesn't look like an ectopic. It sounds like things are on the right track. Good luck! FX

Try to keep your head up, today you are pregnant! Like people said your betas are still rising and that's a great thing. Sometimes very early on the body does weird things.....try not to over analyze if you can. Lots of prayers for a sticky baby!

I got my betas drawn last week and my RE said as long as there is at least a 65% rise, that is a good sign. I know how hard it is not to worry, but try not to stress too much. Seeing a sac is good also, so have faith that this is a healthy pregnancy. Sending lots of prayers for you. Good luck :)
