What kind of things are you really enjoying right now for your LO?  My mom wants to send Riley one more thing to open on Christmas, and aside from clothes and diapers, I'm at a loss of what to ask for.  Any suggestions?  We have so many toys still from G so it's hard!

I think ball poppers are great starting really young and honestly ours still gets played with every single day.  I think the most common one is made by playschool, but I saw a fp dinosaur ball popper that looks really cool.  DS modeled for it when we was about 7 mos old (didn't make the box though).

My twins have this and they LOOOOVE it. Yes, it's a table but you don't have to attach the legs- so we just lay it flat on the floor and they've been able to play with it for months already. Then we'll put the legs on when they can pull up

We got A the Dinosaur Ball Popper that Beth is talking about.  We also got him a real cuddly blanket as he loves blankets.  He likes to play with E's Duplo legos, but I think that is because he likes to be with his big brother.  My Dad is getting him this one toy that A really liked playing with at the Y, it is a push toy, but the front of it is all activities.  He sat in the Bumbo and was having a ball with it.   Bonus is he can push it later on (even though we already have 3 push toys .

We have the FP stage and it has been one toy I've never had to pack away. Paul still plays with it & the 5 month old I watch thinks its the coolest thing ever.

sophia loved the v-tech ball.  She got it when she was 4 months and just loved playing with it

If you don't want to do toys, you could do finger foods. My ds will be opening a lot of gerber finger foods and mum-mums.

I just got Leap Frog's My Pal Violet for my daughter.  They also have My Pal Scout for boys.  I can't wait to give it to her for Christmas.  It is a stuffed dog that talks, sings, etc.  But you program your LO's name, favorite foods, songs, etc. so the dog incorporates all that stuff into when it talks.

This is a good one, Charlotte loved her Scout! And once she started to recognize the songs, if I started singing one in the car, it would calm her right down.
