This has been awesome!

So after months of rocking and walking, shusshing my LO for her naps on Tuesday I decided enough is enough. My LO would just fuss and squirm all over me, so I thought she was having enough as well. So on Tuesday for her naps (she always napped in our bed) I placed her in her crib on her belly and a stuffed animal she is always carrying around (she never goes to bed with anything so I thought I'd give it to her for a nap). After 5 minutes of fussing on and off she was out for the count. It is now Friday and the naps are so easy. The minute she is showing tired signs I place her on her belly in the crib, turn on the sheep noise maker, give her the stuffed animal and shut her door. In 2 minutes or less she is passed out.

God I hope this lasts!!! It also helped last night. LO has been waking at 3 or 330 after 8 solid hours of sleep. At 3 or 330 its been tough to get her back to bed, I usually have to rock or bed share but lately its been an hour plus to get her back to bed. Nope, not last night....She woke at 3:30 and I put her on belly, rubbed her back and 20 minutes later she was PASSED OUT and didnt get up until 6:45. It felt AMAZING to get up before her for once, have a cup of coffee, and relax!!!

  • Last week Audrey just started falling asleep in her crib too. This never happend before I was frustrated and tired and she wanted to play. I put her in her crib and walked away. 2 minutes later silence, I go to check on her and she is sound asleep on her tummy. She has done this 3 times since then.
