My poor DH..

He seriously did not want to go on this Christmas Party trip. He was up at 3:45am and won't be home until after midnight. His boss thinks they are just going to WALK everywhere. Umm...obv he has never been to NYC before. Have you guys ever walked from Battery Park to Central Park? A day like this is not his cup of tea...

I'm so jealous that DH's coworkers get to spend a day with him in the city, though. I wish I could spend a day with him like that!!!!

Yikes, that's a long ass day. I've never made that walk before but I believe it's a VERY long walk. I would love a day away to NYC with DH, but going on an office trip would not be fun to me. I'm sorry =(

Ugh. He is going to be hurting big time by the time he gets back to the airport for the flight home. His boss isn't still planning on boozing it up, is he? Hope the day goes quickly for DH and he at least has some fun.

If I were you I'd order super yummy take out, open some wine and watch one of those Hallmark Xmas movies when the kiddos go to bed

The worst thing is that he's got to be all fake and gratefull all day - when he'll probably be spending tons of money that he didn't need/want to spend. There's a three hour block of shopping...but his boss didn't give out bonuses yet (not that they are great anyway) so no one really has money to spend, haha!

And yes MrsWhite - I have the wine chilling and plan on making a greek pasta dish with feta cheese and spinach and kalamata olives, etc...which DH doesn't really like...and renting something cheeseball like that One Day movie with Anne Hathaway...haha! I wonder how early I could get the kids in bed

Although, I sort of had a night by myself last night since DH tried to go to bed at 10 to be up by 3:45 - we're usually up until 1 or so.

oh blech.. and, not to be an even bigger downer, but those late night flights are ALWAYS delayed.. My mom and my sister and I did a day trip like that one year for my birthday.. and we won't ever do it again.. From the time we left our house to the time we got back to our house from the airport, we were gone (And awake) 24 hours.

Plus, NYC is way busy this time of year...

Ugh - plus he is going to be out of commission all day tomorrow too, so even though they boss only took him for one day, there goes most of the weekend.
