I realize that J&J also makes the Aveeno line. But my son has eczema and we switched to this line when the J&J baby wash started contributing to his outbreaks. It has been so great and everyone tells me how great he smells! :P
I just saw in an article that his baby wash has the toxic products listed on the article. I normally buy in bulk, but haven't found a good enough sale to do this recently. So, I am almost out and I was wondering if any wash in that line is safe to use? I'd hate to switch because it is very difficult to find things that work for him.
TIA!
Edit: After doing some research, The Lightly Scented Essential Moisture Shampoo, Soothing Relief Moisture Cream, and the Soothing Relief Creamy Wash are all safe products not in any way involved in the drama with J&J. We use Aquaphor as a diaper rash cream. Woo hoo. Crisis averted. :P
Re: Safe Aveeno products? (Edited)

I heart this website. I don't like using products with a lot of harmful chemicals, especially on baby, so I always check here to see how they rate (0-10, 0 being the safest). For baby I usually try to stay 0-2 but thats not always possible. Check it out and see what works for you.
ETA: I used Aveeno Baby with DD and liked it but I wanted something different, not related to the craziness going on with J&J and "safer". I use California Baby now and can find it at Target.
While I like this website, it is not always a good source due to the amount of limited testing on some of the products. Most of the Aveeno line is scored at a "5" with "limited" testing, the products with "fair" testing are scored at a "2". Everything with limited testing marked on it, I tend to take with a grain of salt. If it is "fair" or "good" or obviously "robust" tested---I look at the results much more closely! Just my two cents. Fabulous website, just know how to look at the results!

This is really true... It's a cool website, but I tend to use it as a starting off point for doing more research about individual product ingredients. I wish I could just use it as a basis for all my shopping decisions, without looking into anything further, but that's just not the case.
In general I try to stick to really simple products that have a smaller liste of ingredients.
