I asked for a Keurig for Christmas and I know DH bought me one but now I'm thinking the Tassimo might better suit my "needs." I'm a latte girl and also enjoy the yummy drinks at Starbuck like caramel macchiatos, etc. Does Keurig make lattes? By looking online, it looks like Tassimo may be a better fit. Please enlighten me.

Re: Keurig vs. Tassimo
We have a Keurig at work and I love it. But, it doesn't froth up your milk or anything, at least not the one we have at my job. I don't know about the Tassimo.
I do know that I love frothed milk in my coffee, and for my bday my DH got me the Keurig milk frother which is a separate thing and I LOVE it. Since I have it I have way reduced my starbucks habit.
Not much help but maybe some insight!!
Omg, HELLLOOO I told you about it! It's fab! Member CF went to Target the night before and they didn't have it and he had to wild goose chase all over on my real bday?!?!

You put your nonfat milk in, click the top on, push the button and voila! In one minute you have HOT frothy milk. I put in a little of the sugar-free cocoa mix in the milk and it tastes like a mocha, I got the sugar-free pepermint syrup too so I can do a Skinny Peppermint Mocha!. It spruces up your regular drip coffee like you wouldn't believe!

I agree the Suchard Hot Chocolate isn't very good. I'll have to try the Milka one. I've ordered from Amazon but lately their prices has been overly expensive so I've been trying to find the caramel macchiato other places.

What about the Cuisinart for Keurig one?
The K-cups seem more prevelent (costco, bb&b, amazon) than the Tassimo Disks. Do they work out to be about the same price per cup o joe?
Is there a separate resivoir for the milk on the Tassimo? Or is it an additional disk that you use after the coffee disk?
Of the Keurigs....which one do you all have? The 40, 60 or 70 model?
The main difference is that there are milk pods for the Milka ones. I thought the chocolate in the Suchard ones was watery and also tasted strange, so I think the idea of using milk instead/in addition is a great concept. Plus, the chocolate flavor seems richer.

It's a separate disc. Essentially, on each disc there is a bar code that the machine reads so it knows how to process it. It'll foam a latte disc but not a creamer disc, for example, and it'll run water through a chocolate disc but brew a coffee disc.
