I didn't vote because I am not sure what to think. The only I've met is a girl; but before her, I would have definitely thought it was strictly a boys' name. Pretty sure she spells it Devin.

My niece's name is Devon. The year she was born I knew 2 other people having a baby and they all choose the name Devon. 1 a boy and 1 a girl, all the same spelling.
One of my co-worker's son's name is Devin. He is 5years old.
The first person I ever met with this name was a girl, spelled Devin, in high school (so she's in her 30's now). So I thought it was a girls name. I never met a male Devon (usually this spelling) until I started teaching. And there are a ton of them.
Although I know people of each sex with this name,I tend to think of it as a boy's name.I know 5 male Devins (all spelled that way)and one female Devon.

I've met a lot of boy Devins, but only one girl Devin, spelled the same way. The name fits her, though. She is very outgoing, kind of a class clown, but the kind teachers like, and she's a bit of a tomboy. I wouldn't name a girl Devin if you were hoping for her to be a girly girl, but that's just because none of the Devins I know are very girly.

I don't know any Devins, but I know 2 Devons. One is a girl and one is a guy (they are both my age). I knew the girl first from a young age, so I usually associate it with being feminine.
Re: Unisex?
There was a girl in my elementary class named Devin, but I don't recall how it was spelled. I'm 32.
Lately though, it seems more boys have this name. I don't know anyone though.

I voted unisex. I have two female cousins named Devyn and Devon, both are in their late 20s.
I'm sure I've met male Devons, I just can't remember in particular.
