It's on tv right now (they are doing a Rocky marathon this week).  You cannot beat the training montages with a stick.  But I'm on the fence for Rocky IV on whether or not leaving out the Bill Conti fanfare was a mistake.  The montage is awesome (Rocky doing pull ups in the barn, running in the deep snow, chopping trees vs Drago in the clinical, sterilized setting).

I can't believe Rocky IV is winning this poll! 

I voted for #2.  Rocky gets married, the baby, his attempts at working, the training and the fight where he finally beats Apollo and wins the title...I love it.

I went to see Rocky Balboa with a friend and his then-girlfriend.  I sat next to the girlfriend who asked me "will I get the movie if I haven't seen a Rocky movie before?".  I think I spit out a little popcorn when I heard that.

Then I started tearing up upon hearing the fanfare.  I was 5 months pregnant at the time.

I am so conflicted on this.  I truly cannot make a decision (except for dismissing V as an accountant's need to bolster the cash flow or similar).

I can't vote...I've never seen a Rocky movie.

Ditto Yodajo for the same reasons. Rocky IV comes in 2nd or maybe ties with the first movie. I was shocked when Apollo died. and the soundtrack is the best!

You can't beat III for pure entertainment value.  Feeling down?  Watch the middle 20 minutes of Rocky III.

Rocky IV because we watched it in the cafeteria on the last day of 6th grade!  The music is great too.  My husband says "I must break you" just like Drago sometimes!
