  • Ok, i have a crazy suggestion.

background: when telemarketers call and I answer the phone and then they ask for me, I pretend that I'm my own secretary or something and "let me see if she's available" ~pause~ "no, may I take a message?"  Then I don't feel bad about blowing off a telemarketer because I've been polite and pretended I was someone else.

So maybe this could apply.  Pretend you are your best friend, your mom, your visitng Australian cousin (complete with accent) and make the call.  Tell them that patient [your name here] needs a PPD appointment as soon as possible.  Maybe faking your identity will help you get through the call.

And I don't think the office should have a problem  if it's not 'you' who is calling.  I had to make my husband call for me sometimes because I was just a mess.

     Keep trying! ~hugs~

EDIT: Oh, I see you made the call. GOOD!  So, everyone else can just use this advice to avoid telemarketers....
