Trouble TTC

Advent Calendar question

So I get big into the cube decorating at work each year, and this year I made a 6'x6' advent calendar for my wall, with pockets for each day and treats inside for each day.

I told someone they could take the stuff starting with day 1, and they said, "no, you start with 24 and count down." Um, in every advent calendar my mom ever got us, we started with 1 and then the chocolate in the 24 spot was bigger for Christmas Eve.

What do you think? Count up or count down? 1 --> 24 or 24 --> 1?

Re: Advent Calendar question

  • We've always done 1->24. It's a calendar. You go the way the days of the month go. Right?

Is it Christmas Vacation that has an Advent Calendar in it?  Anyway your crazy co-worker needs to watch that movie.  You count up with the days as pp said.

  • Thank you! I didn't think I was crazy. I knew there was a reason my sister and I fought to open even-numbered days (when we shared a single calendar) so that we got the 24th.
