We have wood floors and I'm looking for something with a little more padding than the blankets we're currently using, especially as DS will be learning to sit in the next few months.
I have this one - got it because it's one of very few that are actually rated for babies. Most of them are rated for kids ages 3+. I think because they're made of material that's not safe to be chewed on, not 100% sure.
The other one rated for babies is the Skip Hop one, but it's much more expensive...

we have wood floors and I just put a nice thick quilt folded in half underneath her playmat. We've done away with the playmats now that she's rolling, they just make her mad. But I still put her down on that thick quilt to play.
Re: padded playmat recs
Thanks! Is it padded enough for when they are learning to sit?
I was looking at these https://softtiles.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=72&Itemid=76 but I really want something more portable. (sorry, no clicky- Mac)

We think its plenty padded - DD sleeps on it all the time.
