vent: due any day and sick

Saturday is our EDD, and I just came down with a cold/respiratory infection. I feel like crapola -- can't breathe well, achy body, snot head. The thought of trying to get through labor feeling like this has got me bummed out.

Anyone else either sick, or has gone through labor sick before? I need some words of wisdom and support.

I'm sick too!! I started getting this nasty cold about 2 weeks ago and just can't kick it! I'm definitely feeling better than I did the first week but I still have a nasty runny nose and congested head! BOO! We can't have colds when we have our babies! How are we supposed to love on them and give them kisses?!?!!? I hope you feel better soon! A hot shower has been helping me and the periodic Halls...GL!

I think i've got the same thing you do....and it sucks Im not due for 9 more days so hopefully it is gone by then.  Hope yours is gone super fast and you have a smooth delivery.

All week long I've felt like I'm coming down with a cold.  My c-section is scheduled for tomorrow morning and I just hope that I don't wake up feeling worse.  That would be no fun at all!  Hope you all get to feeling better before labor kicks in!

When DS was born I had had a nasty intestinal bacterial infection for a week prior.  Made it through my 20 hour labor just fine.  I would have rather of had a nasty cold!

With any luck, the baby will have some immunity. I just got over a cold, I was afraid I would have it forever! Sleep lots. Sudafed 24 hour helped a ton for me, while Tylenol Cold was only so-so (my husband however got it cleared up with Tylenol Cold...lucky him.)

Thanks for the encouragement, Mamas. This crud was definitely not part of my birth plan (lol). Hope we're all happy and healthy when the time comes!
