Phenergan (Promethazine) Side Effects?

Has anyone taken this for morning sickness and had side effects?  I took it for 2 days and it gave me restless leg syndrome!  It was awful. I think I would rather have the MS back than that.  

 I did get a new prescription for Zofran.  Lets hope that works better. ;)

    Definitely drowsiness, constipation, and I think you're right with the RLS. During the day I only take half of a 12.5 mg (the lower dose to begin with) in the morning. Then at night I take a full one. I find myself getting almost antsy in bed while I'm reading, almost like it gives me the shakes? WEIRD!! So I just go to sleep so I don't notice it. But maybe it IS RLS? I don't like it though. But it works wonders on my nausea so I'm willing to take it. Zofran isn't covered by my insurance, but I don't think it gives quite so sever side effects. Good luck!!

    Yes, that is a common side effect of phenergan, compazine and reglan.  They all work on the dopamine receptor, the same type of receptor involved in Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. 
    DS born 8/8/09 and DD born 6/12/12.

    It was extremely annoying!  LOL. I started generic Zofran today.  No restless feet with that.  :)

    I am on both Phenergan and Zofran.  The Phenergan makes me tired but that is about it.
