Hello everyone! Just an quick update and question:
So IUI # 2 was done on Tues and like every other month I'm starting my way up the emotional roller coaster and starting to get excited. Hopefully I don't come crashing down this time.
This month I was diagnosed with a LP defect so I have been told to take endometrin vaginal inserts 3x a day (100mg). I took my first one today.
Who has used these before? What have been your experiences with them- side effects, how long to they take to dissolve, any success? etc
Thanks!
Re: My update and a Endometrin question
IF is an emotional roller coaster. Don't feel bad!
I used endometrin with all my IVF/FET protocols. The side effects are like early pregnancy symptoms (bloating, sore bbs, mood swings), so try not to read into it too much. Wear a pantyliner at all times and bring a bunch with you during the day. If nothing else, endometrin supps are messy, but for me, a way better option than PIO shots! They dissolve quickly. Sometimes I would get a chunk that would come out, but most of the time, it was liquidy. Gross, I know.
I had to stay on them for my successful cycle with the twins until 10 weeks. I was able to reduce to 2x a day, which was nice.
Also, for having a little fun with your DH...most people just wait and insert the last one of the evening after you are finished. Ruins the spontaneity, but I found them kind of gross otherwise.
Good Luck!!!
SIF is an emotional rollar coaster.....I used Endometrin with my IVF cycle. For me the side effects were not as bad as the injections of Projestrone, but some of them are sore boobs, I did get some hot flashes. Good Luck, I hope this is the cycle for you.
