Pre baby I used to be very conscientious about eating right and working out regularly. I kept it up all throughout out my preg, but it's a different story now that DS is here.
I find it hard to eat right (or even get in regular meals) I haven't worked out in like a month--I'm not a pop a video do it at home person, I need the gym, my yoga class to be exact. Today I realized that I only ate a small bowl of kix for breakfast, a small bowl of soup for lunch and just a turkey sandwich for dinner. When I used to work 40+ hrs a week I ate better, all three meals, two snacks, lots of water, now that I'm a SAHM I forget to even drink water all day!
The only good thing is I have lost all the weight and then some, I'm 5 lbs under my pre-preg weight, but it is not the way I want to go about it.
How do you do it?!?!?! I need some tips!
Re: How to stay healthy?
I hear you on being a better eater while you were working. I currently work, but on the weekends, it feels like a free for all. And maternity leave WAS a free for all I can't be in my house around all the food, apparently.
I think if it were me and I was staying at home, I'd need to be really diligent about planning my meals out. I currently eat every 2-3 hours to keep my metabolism high and I workout at least 5x a week. I schedule my workouts into my day, just like everything else. Sometimes I do it early in the a.m. before work, some days it's after the kids are in bed... I food prep on Sunday. I hard boil eggs, chop veggies and portion out my snacks so everything is grab-n-go.
I keep myself accountable via another online community I'm a part of, which also helps a ton!
