Budget - Please help quickly

I am trying to figure out whether I can afford to leave H.  Can you tell me how much your typical weekly grocery bill is for you and two kids? Need to make sure I can afford it financially and need to get something figured out asap tonight if possible.

If you feel you need to leave than leave.  I asked mine to leave knowing that I could not make ends meet. I had to swallow my pride and ask for help.  I am one of the lucky ones who have family who allow me to rent a home from them for dirt cheap, and help me pay other bills as I need.  Additionally contact the state to see if you qualify for any aide there such as WIC and food stamps.

As for costs of food It is just my daughter and I we spend about 200 a month depending on sales and coupons. I tend to stick to store brands and shop at aldies/

Myself and 3 kids I spend approx $300/mth in a MCOL area.

And I agree with PP, if you want to leave, leave. I was a SAHM when I told my H I wanted a divorce. I made it work.

You will never have enough money to leave but you will always find enough to get by once you do.  I have no income coming in right now and have made it work thru the help of family and now I am on WIC.  I hate being on WIC and fully intend to support the two of us on my own very soon but reality says I need to use WIC right now.

Agreed.  For DS and I I budget $200/month.  Sometimes it's more, sometimes less.  You can save a significant amount of money by shopping sales, price matching, and buying generic brands.

If you need to leave, LEAVE.  You (not DC) can survive on ramen and easy mac for a while if you need to.
