So I went for another u/s and bw after begging them not to cancel this cycle. She takes a look, says "Well, since you have one follicle I can let you continue and convert you from IVF to IUI". I was taken aback---I had at least TWO OTHER CYCLES where I had more than one follicle and she cancelled the IVF because she wanted me to have at least 3-4 mature follicles. I didn't know you could do IUI with one follicle---if I hadn't insisted she wouldn't be doing the IUI!!! I feel like I wasted the other cycles where we just cancelled it and didn't convert it.
Now I am also kicking myself because my job is sending me to FL for 4 days and I may not be able to do the IUI!!!!!!!!! AAAARRGGHH!!
Re: Spoke with RE---feel like a fool
Don't feel like a fool. The stupid RE should automatically provide that option.

I also can't believe you weren't offered the option to convert on those other cycles. I'd be asking some very hard questions of your RE, since I think it's pretty standard practice if you have 3-4 follicles to convert to an IUI if it's decided not to go forward with IVF.
Sorry this has happened to you. Fingers crossed for this IUI!
I am DOR. I switched RE's because my old one had a follicle cutoff too (they converted me one cycle with 3 mature follicles and made me do IUI when I've never made more than that).
My new one doesn't have a cutoff and he said he'll go in for whatever number we can make.
Something to think about....
