Just got the Ergobaby in the mail, so far, we like!

And instead of tackling the massive pile of laundry or paying bills I'm using my two free hands to bump

So far this wins over the Moby, I find that too much of a PITA to get on and off, and she never seems like she's in it the right way, and she mashes my boobs so I don't find it that comfy.

Is it easy to put it on and put her in by yourself or did your DH help you? I haven't opened ours yet, but I need to take the dog to Petsmart for a nail trim and to get food and it'd be awesome if I could just put Emmy in it, but I'm afraid I won't be able to get her in by myself.

I didn't put it on the right way, so I didn't unhook the strap in back, and I haven't adjusted the shoulder straps at all. I just slipped it over my head and then adjusted the belt strap. I probably have it on wrong but it's working so far, she hasn't fallen out

It's easy to put on the right way too...  Right now, I'm still practicing over my bed, but it's been getting easier.

I admit I really want a PPB one. I'm still debating buying a friend's used for DH for the winter. We have the Bjorn and love it still though.

Got mine last week and really like it too. I'm not able to master the Moby and he doesn't seem right in it. I love the Ergo!!

I have both ergo & moby. I definitely prefer ergo for ease of putting on. DD loved to hang out in that when we went out.

What about the infant insert? Do you all have that? I have her in it without it right now and I'm debating on buying it. Does anyone know what size that is for? She was weighed today and is up to 10lbs4oz and last week measured 22.25 inches.

She seems to fit fine in it now, but if you read the Ergo website they act like using it without the insert will damage their backs.

I have the insert too but he is only a few weeks old. I think it said up to 15 lbs they recommend the insert!

I just have the old regular one, and I love it. When Ollie was really little, I used a rolled up A&A blanket in the bottom. Now we just froggy his legs and he is fine, I find the ergo easier then the moby also. We spent all morning with him in it, damn teething.

Love the Ergo.  We have the infant insert which I will use until she is closer to 14lbs like recommended.  It just gives so much more support and brings her up higher so she's not hiding in there.  

Once I got all the straps fitted to me it's easy to put on.  Well, I loosen the shoulder straps before I put her in just b/c it is easier to adjust her that way and then tighten them once she's in.  But I keep the hip and back one fitted to me.

Which kind did you end up getting? Regular, sport or organic?

 The sport! It's so comfy, I'm still sad I didn't get the deal lol but it was worth the money!

Yay! I'm jealous, Gin, as G hates the ergo and the Moby I got as shower gifts (as qell as the ktan and the sleepy wrap I tried out at the LCs store). Congrats on being "hands free"!

If it makes you feel any better she hates the Mamaroo that some of my friends got us. I really wanted it and did all thus research and of course took it out of the box and threw it away long before she was born soni can't return it. Hope you can find a carrier he likes!

I do like my ergo better than the 7slings carrier that I have.  I don't have infant insert, but I prop up DS by putting a folded towel under his bottom.  He likes me to walk him in my arms still, so I don't use the ergo that much yet.  I am glad your DD likes the ergo.

HOORAY for the Ergo!!!

I LOVE ours.  (It's the original flavor.)    It takes a little practice to get on by yourself, but it couldn't be more convenient or comfortable.  It's my go-to device for when I'm shopping.  We never had an infant carseat, so it's either this or the stroller & we do just fine!  It's also great because I feel like it gives you more control over whether strangers are able to come up & touch your LO.  

FWIW, I have the infant insert & am still using it at 4m.  (DD is a peanut, though, at 12lb10oz.)  We tried without it & she still fits kinda weird (not sitting high up enough).  I wouldn't feel comfortable using it without one for such a little baby.
