I think we need to liven up things around here. So I'm going to totally steal a post I saw while lurking on BOTB because it seems like fun. List 5 random things about yourself.

1. I have what I consider to be giant hands. Big palms, long fingers. It's not often that even mens hands are much larger than mine. They're still skinny and feminine, just big. I would have been an AWESOME basketball player if I had an athletic bone in my body. Or a piano player.
2. I was on the flag team in high school and am slightly offended at the Family Guy episode that makes fun of the flag team indicating that they're all cheerleading rejects or the geeky loser girls. lol.
3. My mom is married to my dad's brother. Yep, that's right. I have an Uncle Daddy.
4. I have a hard time coming up with "good" random facts about myself.
5. I've dabbled in fictional writing and my outlet has been *embarrassingly* a "wrestling e-fed" where you create a character and write their story, only they're a "professional wrestler." My male BFF started doing it about 10 years ago and based a character on me. So, when he got out of it, I took over for her. I always hated the wrestling aspect of it, but loved writing the character's story. I've had a few characters over the years and I'm fairly proud of my most recent character and storyline I've co-written with another "e-fedder" even though I still find it embarrassing when I have to say that I write in a wrestling e-fed. lol

1. I love pork shoulder so much, I have a blog dedicated to cooking it.
2. I cry when I see anything involving penguins. March of the Penguins was awful for me to watch. I just think they are so cute, I can't help it.
3. I broke my tailbone in college sledding. And yes, I was sober. I had to sit on a donut for weeks.
4. I was on The Price is Right in 2001. I made fun of Bob Barker, and he gave it right back to me. It was interesting. I did win a ton of crap though.
5. When I was learning to write, I couldn't decide between my right and my left. So, I started with my left, and when I got to the middle of the page, I'd finish with my right. The teachers thought I was crazy and told my Mom I needed to choose. I ended up choosing both - I write with my left, but do everything (including art) with my right.

3.4.13: Holy crap! Surprise natural BFP on cycle #19. EDD 11.12.13 We've got a peen.....it's a boy! Little man born 11.17.2013 via c-section
Fun idea! I needed something to get me through the last part of work
1. I broke my index finger on my right hand in 5th grade, and a piece of the bone broke all the way off. When the bone healed, my finger ended up being crooked because of the missing piece.
2. I have broken the little toe on my left foot twice. The first time I really had to pee, and cut a corner to close. The second time I was playing with my dogs and ran into the couch.
3. DH was my next door neighbor in high school. The day he moved in my mom joked that he was my age so maybe I could date him.
4. I'm terrified of rejection. To the point that it's hard for me to ask anyone for anything because I'm so afraid they will say no.
5. I had my appendix removed when I was 20. My doctor told me about 1% of people will have an appendectomy, and most of those are children through young adults. Of that portion, only 2% have the condition I did (adenitis), and of that portion about 98% are under the age of 14. Talk about one in a million!
Me (28): fine, DH (28): MFI

Varicocelectomy surgery 9/4/12 - T improved to normal, but still low count
1. My left boob is almost a whole cup size bigger than my right.
2. My middle name is my mom's maiden name. So is my brother's, and a handful of cousins middle names, too. I love "sharing" a middle name with them.
3. I am obsessed with spreadsheets. So much that I look for more reasons to make spreadsheets all.the.time. I even inventoried all of our grocery/kitchen items (mostly dry goods, but some of our favourite fresh stuff, too) into a spreadsheet.
4. I have never, ever dyed my hair. My mom only had to start covering up greys in her late 50s, so I hope I make it that long!
5. I add dog treats and toys to my cart at the normal grocery store, so that my H doesn't *really* know how much I'm spending on the dog.

1. My big brother nicknamed me Moose when I was 12 and it stuck. My nephew and nieces call me Aunt Moose, my college friends address mail to me as "Moose" and DH's pet name for me is even Mooselissa.
2. I used to listen to Air Supply every night to fall asleep in late high school/college. Yep. I own it--I love me some Air Supply!
3. I now MUST have white noise in order to sleep.
4. I would make gum illegal if I could. Most people make way too much noise with it. (Though I have to admit that I chew gum while working out. ONLY while working out.)
5. DH and I doubled dated to his senior prom with each other's friends. We knew each other, but not well and completely forgot about each other after he graduated. 19 years later he sent me a friend request on FB and 2.5 years after that we got married.

1) I hate any kind of confrontation and tend to disguise it with humor. It doesn't always work so well.
2) I've been married 3 times and feel slightly white trash about it.
3) I used to work fast food after high school. I still giggle thinking about answering drive thru "F*ck you for choosing Hard-ons" and never getting caught.
4) We moved when I was 4. I threw a giant fit because my dad wouldn't load up my favorite tree. It was a massive, old oak tree. I still miss that tree.

I love Air Supply, too! My sister and I drove home from a family reunion a few years back, blaring it and singing at the top of our lungs. DH and I recently watched a bunch of AS videos, too, and both belted out the songs. lol
And, I love the story of you and DH. So sweet!

This is fascinating! I write for a living and would like to write fiction for a living (working on it), but I also dabble in more structured, group stuff like this... though mine is mostly Harry Potter related :P
As for my five things...
1. I have a serious thing for zombies. Max Brooks' World War Z is one of my favorite books.
2. I am a costumer, even though the only thing I like about sewing is being able to say, I made this! The last costume I made was a Star Trek inspired Steampunk costume for a convention in September.
3. I drive stick.
4. I met DH when I was 19 and we worked at a casino together.
5. I taught English composition at University when I was pursuing my MA and later as an adjunct... and I hated it. I had one class of music theatre students that I loved, but by and large, I am not cut out for teaching.
1. My eyes are two different colors. One is mainly brown with a spot of bluish/green. The other is bluish/green.. They change from blue to green depending on my shirt color and hair color.
2. When I was 2 I fell backwards off a cliff onto a rock in Arizona.. I busted my head open and to this day I still have an indention/softspot that the hair grows funny on and gives me a cowlick.
3. I was born with 2 teeth. They had to remove them when I was just a couple hours old. The doctor said I was the tiniest baby he had ever held including his own kids.
4. I can't say theater.. It ends up coming out rhyming with meteor.. I don't know what it is about that word..
5. My mom and dad almost named me Elizabeth Taylor not necessarily a bad connotation but still..

My nickname from middle school was Moose too! More people call me that then by my real name.. I think that some people don't even know my real name. My teachers all thru middle school and high school called me that too. I absolutely love it and I would change my legal name to it in a heartbeat lol

Okay so this was harder than I thought, but here goes nothin' ~
1. I was in dance from 3yrs old through part of college. I still absolutely love it!
2. I just recently met my 1/2 brother, sister-in-law and adorable niece. I am supposed to meet my biological father this month (yikes!!), and my 1/2 sister.
3. My toes are double-jointed... When I walk they pop, especially early in the morning.
4. Sometimes it drives me crazy being married to a personal trainer.... Cupcake anyone?
5. My first concert was Van Halen with one of my best friends and her crazy aunt. That thought still makes me giggle
Too cool! Where? Unless you don't want to share, in which case, I understand!
It wasn't a whole book, I just have some work in an anthology with other authors. I have a copy or two at my Mom's house but I dont even remember the title. I'm sure it was a one run and done publication, but it still makes me smile.

2) I auditioned for American Idol in 2007...There's actually 2 rounds before you get to the judges (the part you see on TV) and I made it past those. I got a SEVERE cold 2 day's before the judges round. I decided to try it anyway..I apologized for my cold, started singing and broke out into an awful coughing fit. I gave up and walked out.
3) I've never seen snow.
4) If I could go anywhere in the world it would be Alaska & Australia.
5) I've lied to get behind stage at least 15 concerts, it worked everytime....

I actually tried running a supernatural roleplaying forum before. There was enough interest in the e-fed. It didn't last very long. The people that were supposed to be helping me run it weren't much help, so we let it fall to the wayside.

For I know the plans I have for you,
1. My nickname (Bear) has been with me since birth. My sister (who was 6) rhymed it with my first name. My nieces and nephews only know me by this name and never knew my real name until they were older.
2. My husband was a year behind me in school. I was good friends with his sister, but never would have dated him back then because of the friendship. 15 years later we reconnected on Face book and married 1 1/2 years after reconnecting.
3. I am actually named after my father, being I was as close to a boy as they were going to get. (Thanks Mom!) To top it off, my dad, a truck driver, was across country when I was born and had no idea my mom named me that until he called home. He wasn't happy with her choice.
4. I have known my best friend since we were 3. We grew up 4 houses apart and now she lives 4.5 hours away. I miss her dreadfully! But we talk on the phone almost every day......and text constantly.
5. I sucked my thumb until I was 10. (never messed up my teeth either!) I used silk as my rub (if I touched silk, thumb automatically went to mouth). I still have a silk blanket I rub and have been told that once in a while, when I sleep, my thumb is in my mouth (My Ex husband claimed this).

3. I have never been out of the country, but soon I hope to go to Italy or Greece (my two places I want to go before I die)
4. I have had a total of 16 procedures that required me to be put under... (yeah I know that's a lot!)

Of that portion, only 2% have the condition I did (adenitis), and of that portion about 98% are under the age of 14. Talk about one in a million!
So Awesome!!! I always wanted to go on TPIR!

1. I'm a published poet.
2. I can't remember long numbers to save my life, even DH's cell number. He quizzes me sometimes and I mix up the same 3 all the time.
3. I used to be 80lbs heavier than I am now.
4. My toenails are always painted red.
5. My favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip.

5) I love Miracle Whip sandwiches.

1. I have a loud laugh that my girlfriends tease me about and say it sounds like a trumpet.
2. I'm adopted, but not in the traditional sense. My step-dad adopted me when I was 27.
3. DH and I met at work. I had intended him to only be a one night stand, but he stuck around.
4. I will watch almost any reality television show.
5. I worked at a Ponderosa in high school. Are those even still around??
Mine was Hanson :P Does that make us teenage rivals?
Too cool! Where? Unless you don't want to share, in which case, I understand!
5. My mom and dad almost named me Elizabeth Taylor
not necessarily a bad connotation but still..
It wasn't a whole book, I just have some work in an anthology with other authors. I have a copy or two at my Mom's house but I dont even remember the title. I'm sure it was a one run and done publication, but it still makes me smile.

That's so funny! I also have college "friends" who probably never knew my real name. I also love it. Secretly. Don't let my brother find out.

1. I swallowed a quarter when I was 4 or 5. It was dirty and I had to clean it... with my mouth.
2. That said quarter wouldn't come out the proper way, so I had to have surgery to get it out. It was the first time I was put under.
3. I have never broken a bone in my life.
4. I have donated my hair to Locks of Love 3 times.
5. I met my husband on Match.com

1) I'm scared of Moths, Clowns & I refuse to take a shower with the curtain closed (unless it's clear)...and No, the "Mothman Prophacy", "It" & "Psycho" had NOTHING to do with it. I won't watch any of them BECAUSE of my Phobia.
As it should! That's awesome.
I actually tried running a supernatural roleplaying forum before. There was enough interest in the e-fed. It didn't last very long. The people that were supposed to be helping me run it weren't much help, so we let it fall to the wayside.

I am so so so jealous! What does your driver's license say?
My stuff:
1. My dream job would be an adivce radio show, along the lines of LoveLine. Don't think I have a voice for radio though.
2. I met my husband on a blind date. Didn't want to go but my mom made me- her words to me as I was leaving, "Shut up and go! It isn't like you have to marry him!"
3. I live for the Christmas time Little Debbie tree cakes. The yellow with the chocolate icing. I burn through a box in a day.
4. WhEN yOU typE LIke ThIS I ThINK IT's a SEcrET CodE. I have de-friended people for doing this on facebook.
5. I can crochet a little bit but I suck at it- unless I am angry then it looks perfect.
Ha! Never heard of learning the alphabet backwards! You might fool a police officer!
1. I TOO have a bigger left boob. Not by a cup tho.
2. Although my taste in music varies greatly, I love listening to Outkast more than any other artist.
3. LaTi, I picture you as your siggy pic, a crazy upset, horror movie looking chick! It makes me laugh!
4. I am a huge food lover. If there is one thing I am good at, it is getting food to go in my mouth!
5. I am 29, and stupid potty humor still makes me crack up.
Me neither! My Dad's side of the family has bones of steel I swear. Even my 94 year old Grandma's doc says she's got the bones of a 40 year old!
... now I really want a tree cake.
The day farts, burps, etc. are no longer funny will be a sad, sad day. lol

Love this!
1. I met my DH while I was a freshman and he was a junior in a freshman math class. then 2 years later his family moved across the street from us and we've been together ever since...
2. When my brother was little he had hearing issues and couldn't say my name so I became Bribri or just Bri and my whole family and teachers have called me that since. (I was seven when it started)
3. I have never been out of the country, but soon I hope to go to Italy or Greece (my two places I want to go before I die)
4. I have had a total of 16 procedures that required me to be put under... (yeah I know that's a lot!)
5. I could eat Italian food everyday and NEVER get tires of it! It's a weakness I have
This made me LOL for real...I would love to hear that!
That's funny. I have an Aunt Cookie. Everyone knows her as Cookie, though we all know her real name. She will always be Aunt Cookie.
I have a cousin who's 23 and I'm told she still sucks her thumb, and not just in her sleep.

1. I love the concert one, so I am stealing that. My first concert was Neil Diamond. I have seen him a total of three times, and DH and I will be seeing him again this summer.
2. Speaking of concerts I have seen Dave Matthews Band 22 times.
3. I have never needed stitches or a cast.
4. DH and I were set up by a mutual friend and I almost bailed the night I met him because he did not sound that interesting to me.
5. My sister and I are so alike (looks and mannerisms) that people always ask us if we were twins. Even I sometimes forget that we aren't.
It says Hazel.. lol
