We took in a 1 1/2 year old girl (very early) this morning and were told during the drop-off that she has an infant sister who needs to be placed as well but that they could place her in another home if needed. I got approval from our agency to set up 2 cribs in our bedroom so we could take both, yay!
We are picking the baby up from the hospital later today, I have to speak with the doctors about her care, she has a fractured shoulder and possibly elbow.
Both girls are going directly into adoptive placement, TPR is being done immediately. I don't even know how to feel, excited and scared at the same time.

She's Forever Ours! Finaliaztion-12.26.12
I am interested but DW isn't completely sold because she was hoping for boys next. We want 5-6 children so if we go forward with adopting these girls than we will hold out for boys the next time.

That is awesome! Congratulations and good luck!
That is CRAZY EXCITING!.... BTW, I just read your blog for all of the details. Goose bumps for you and your wife. I hope that all of your dreams are coming true, especially that oh-so-amazing sounding house and property.
After 5.5 years of loss, heartbreak, and empty arms, our dreams were fulfilled through the beautiful, selfless gift of adoption. We are amazingly blessed!
