I always order cards online; Walmart, vista print, shutterfly etc... I'm working on ours right now from Snapfish. They seem to have a lot more 5x7 cards then the standard 4x8 so I'm choosing one of those designs. This may be silly but since it's a bit bigger/different size- does it cost more to mail or is mail weight only?
According to the USPS website, a letter's acceptable dimension range from 3 1/2" x 5" (minimum) to 6 1/8" x 11 1/2" (maximum). Items that will qualify for an extra surchage:
Letters that meet one or more of the nonmachinable characteristics below are subject to the nonmachinable surcharge.
It is a square letter
It is too rigid ? does not bend easily
It has clasps, string, buttons, or similar closure devices
It has an address parallel to the shorter dimension of the letter
It contains items such as pens that cause the surface to be uneven
The length divided by height is less than 1.3 or more than 2.5

Looks like a 5x7 should be in the clear.
