I just got DD's 37 wk email from the bump, and it included this tip:
If you're bottle feeding, limit baby's daily intake to 16 to 24 ounces of formula or breast milk. If she still wants more to drink, offer water.
Is that right? DD drank 18 ounces overnight last night - nevermind what she eats at day care (about another 14-16 oz). She gets a couple ounces of purees one or two times each day.
Re: Feeding Q-from a bump email for DD's age
My first reaction was: WHAAT?!?!
I think that's crazy talk and would ignore and keep feeding her whatever amount of milk/formula is working.
Not for us. DD was drinking around 30 oz. of formula and eating purees, too (at 37 weeks). Her pedi said it was fine and if she got less than that, she would be one angry kid. I tune out those bump emails a lot of the time. I got one once that told me all the stuff DD should be eating food-wise in a day. I don't even think I ate as much food in a day as they told me she needed!
