Where did you get Tylenol for your LO? Is there a specific type? Is generic fine?
I'm prepping for DD's shots next week. =

Re: Tylenol
I got the store brand generic. There wasn't any Tylenol on the shelf, presumably bc of the recall.
DS's shots are tomorrow
Seriously can't wait until they, and the consequences, are over with.

If you can find it, I highly recommend the dye-free. That way when LO spits it up an hour later it doesn't stain whatever clothing is in the path. I speak from experience.
Actually, there hasn't been a recall on children's Tylenol products since spring of 2010. The reason there are fewer products on the shelf is that all acetaminophen manufacturers have agreed to stop making the 80 mg per 0.8 mL concentration.
The only strength that will now be available is the 160 per 5 mL product. Dosage droppers will also be changing to reflect the consolidation. This change is the result of numerous reports of children being inadvertently overdosed due to confusion between the two strengths.
Any drugstore or grocery should carry the currently available product.
Our Pedi recommended the Little Fevers brand. I bought some when DS had his 2 month shots. He did really well with his shots and I only had to give him one dose afterwards. I also really like the way that you get the medicine out of the bottle, it is soo much easier and not as messy.
Thanks for all the replies. I couldn't find Little Fevers. Would this work?

This is what we use.
A late reply, but you should probably avoid any ibuprofen-containing products until baby is 6 months old.
Stick to products with acetaminophen as the active ingredient.
