LOL @ plastic tit!! The bottle is called "baba". I have no desire to call it that, but for some reason I cannot help myself. I also call a pacifier a "paci", a blanket a "blankie" etc. Babytalk is weirdly second nature when you become a mom. It's like I have no control over myself anymore. haha.
With all the nephews and the niece we just called it the bottle.
No one in my family has had much success with breastfeeding... I don't know what we'll call it. I doubt I'll say "well, time to whip out the boob" or whatever. I'd imagine we'll just say we're breastfeeding or call it mommy's milk or something. I don't know. Haha
Even though I'm not a mother I will say that if you spend prolonged periods of time with children you will no doubt be proned to baby talk.
I've called the bottle a "ba ba" before, but not regularly. It really is one of those things that no matter how stupid you feel saying it you just can't help it. Really, I've taken to refering to either of them just as "foods"... I don't know why but, it's like this "Ohh, I know... You're just hungry. You want some foods?" Its just one of those things that seemed to be a catch all for any time of feeding and just stuck with me. I'm weird.
I also call a pacifier a "paci" or a "plug" and not a "binkie"... for some reason I just can't say Binkie. But I do call a blanket a "blankie" as well.
OMG Jen thats so funny you said that b/c the family I work for got me calling them something similar and I too think it's super cute! They call their youngest daughter's bedtime diapers Nappy pants! ahhhh! I love it... the whole world should refer to them as nappies! or at least you...!
We adopted my little brother before he turned one. We initially called it a "bottle" but then he started saying his first words and he'd say "bah-bah" because he couldn't say "bottle" (obviously). It was the cutest thing to here his little voice say that. I assume we'll probably use that term when we have kids, along with "blankie" and "pacie".
She only used bottles for a short time, around 4-5 months old, so they just got called "bottles".
A few weeks ago she pointed to my chest and said "bob" several times, so now as a joke, we call them "bob".
But when I'm asking her if she needs to nurse, I ask just that "Do you need to nurse?" And I do the sign for "milk", which is what I've been doing since she was small. Hopefully eventually, she'll be signing back to me.
Re: what do you call
For bottles, I'm thinking I'll go with "bottle." I can
totally see Mike going with something like "BPA-free
tata" just to be "funny."
Boobs will probably remain "boobs."
All of this is assuming that upon pregnancy I don't
go babytalk batsh!t, of course.

We called it the bottle. Creative, I know! hahahahahha.
And as for boobs, we didn't BF for too long so no names there.

:: sigh :: I can't wait to baby talk to my own.
I don't know, but I really want to get in the habit of calling diapers "nappies" b/c I think it's the cutest word evah.

But you have to put on a British accent when you say it
