I don't know about microderabrasion, but I would recommend you see Jessica at Esty. After my second kid I developed rosacea. My dermatologist treated me with several rounds of medication. She said the next step was antibiotics every day. I thought that was crazy. I happened to have a facial appointment with Jessica. She recommended a course of action that actually cleared it up...and didn't involve any medications. I'd go get her opinion before you do the full microderabrasion.
Have you seen a dermatologist? I had a couple of dark spots that annoyed me a lot and mine was able to get rid of them with tiny blasts of the liquid stuff that freezes them off (liquid nitrogen?, but maybe I'm thinking of Top Chef... oops!).

Ditto this rec. A microdermabrasion generally won't get dark spots off... I'd highly recommend starting with a dermotologist then go from there. I've found a couple of dark spots since having D - fortunately none are on my face. I had a friend of mine who's a nurse and used to work for a dermo check them out. She said that they're liver spots (gross) and happen with old age. She said that I can have them removed at a dermo, but that they're essentially harmless. Since they're not on my face I haven't rushed to have them removed, but it's on my to do list for when I'm on DH's insurance next year and have cheaper copays.
